The thin clients are located in Y23K10.
1) Turn on the thin client and enter your CORE account credentials.
2) If you have not done so already, reserve a virtual machine (VM) in the reservation system using the browser on the linux desktop.
3) Finally, you double click the VM that you have reserved, typically the ImageProcessing VM.
4) The System will then show the Windows interface and you can start data processing.
There are two options to choose from when turning off:
A. If you want to turn off the VM and the thin client, click in the Start menu Log off. This will turn off the VM. To turn off the thin client please press the power button. The thin client will then turn off after 10 seconds.
B. If you want to keep the VM running but only shutdown the thin client, click in the Start menu on the little arrow next to log off and click Disconnect (see image below). To turn off the thin client please press the power button. The thin client will then turn off after 10 seconds. This will allow you to log in onto the VM from elsewhere later. However, be aware that after some hours of inactivity the VM will shut off automatically which may cause loss of unsaved data.
