Slide Imaging System - Akoya - Vectra Polaris/PhenoImager HT (Schlieren)

Slidescanner

Akoya’s Vectra Polaris (newly called PhenoImager™ HT) is an automated imaging system for performing whole slide scans of tissue sections and microarrays (TMAs), and for acquiring multispectral (MSI) regions of interest. The system has been optimized to image samples stained with Akoya’s Opal multiplexed fluorescent immunohistochemistry reagent kits and is also compatible with typical brightfield staining reagents. The Vectra Polaris is configured to store and inventory up to 80 slides.

  • coverslip thickness: 100µm, 170µm, 220µm, 300µm, 420µm

  • Fluorescence LEDs:  UV (380-390nm) / Violet (421-439nm) / Blue (464-486nm) / Yellow (509-591nm) / Red (629-647nm) / NIR (719-751nm)

Brightfield images are always recorded with 20x and final resolution is achieved by binning. The tube lens doubles the objective magnification if no binning is applied.

Note: DAPI, Opal 480, Opal 520, Opal 570, Opal 620, Opal 690 and Opal 780 can be combined and recorded without multispectral imaging (significantly faster acquisition). Adding Opal 540 or Opal 650 to the panel will require multispectral recordings.
